55 Instructives CULTUREPEDIA Cards, OBOM Collection
CULTUREPEDIA Cards is a collection of fun, creative and educational card games designed to perpetuate and pass on African cultural heritage. The pack of cards contains a total of 55 cards1 explanatory card54 standard cards used in the game. The NDOP, OBOM and TOGHU collections, inspired by the cultural diversity of many of CAMEROON's tribes, are the first in a series of customised card games with a cultural flavour. Our long-term aim is to promote the cultural richness of Africa's 54 countries, by highlighting artistic creations such as fabrics, and the original traditional cultures of each country. We'll be visiting BOGOLAN, SAMAKAKA, LEPI and many others. The pack of cards contains a total of 55 cards: 1 explanatory card, which presents the history of the African fabric used in the background of the cards, and 54 standard cards used for the game. The content of the game cards is very special. All the figurines known from classic card games have been removed, and replaced by African images and cultural symbols, and explanatory and descriptive texts. The disappearance of intangible cultural heritage is a real scourge on the African continent. Over the years, the need to pass on cultural heritage to the younger generation, to connect with its origins and to reappropriate its cultural identity has been increasingly expressed in the African community, and in its diaspora in particular. However, the means and media available to meet these needs are not enough.
